We were craving bahn mi sandwiches so we decided to do take out. We drove it back into town to eat. The interior was very cute with the decor especially all the hats hanging from the ceiling. We ordered the lemongrass chicken and the tofu and mushroom. I ate the lemongrass chicken and the sandwich was more on the wet and soggy side. The bread did not have that crunch but the fillings were full and delicious. The chicken was flavorful, lots of pickled veggies and a few pieces of cilantro to put the sandwich together. I definitely would ask for jalapeños next time not realizing it wasn't included in the sandwich. We also shared spring rolls and it was an easy to eat side with plenty of veggies and noodles to make wraps. Definitely would come back if I was in the area.

We live in Waikiki, but every time when we have craves for Vietnamese sandwich we only think about and want to eat is Bun Mi in Keneohe, because the stuffs inside the sandwich over here is very rich, very tasty, there's a lot of meat inside the bread, and the Mayonnaise sauce is homemade from the eggs and homemade ingredients so that make the special meatloaf here is very moist, special and delicious, not dry like other places. Eating bread here once will make you feel addicted and not want to eat anywhere else's sandwich

For some reason I haven't been back here for a while and I regret it! Got the chicken vermicelli and it was so good. Large portion size and generous toppings (peanuts and fried onion, radish carrot sprouts lettuce cucumber). Flavors are great. I feel like prices have gone up everywhere but this is well worth it in comparison to most places these days. They're maintaining quality and not price gouging. Thank you Bun Mi!

Went to Bun Mi yesterday for lunch. There were three of us and the 3 of us almost couldn't fit inside the place is so small. So ambiance wise, the front of the restaurant is about the size of a large walk in closet. There is a bench table on the wall that seats 4 with small metal elementary school stools, and maybe 2 other tables also with elementary school metal stools. So yeah, the restaurant is very tiny. However, the food was pretty good. The spring rolls with lettuce wrap comes with some noodles, thin sliced carrots, crisp whole romaine lettuce leaves and cucumber slices. Unfortunately there was no mint and mint ALWAYS makes Vietnamese food taste fresher. I was glad to see they included fish sauce with it and it was very flavorful. We also got noodles with lemongrass chicken and spring rolls and it was filling with a large serving size with plenty of chicken and noodles. It all tasted great. Service wise, it was odd that our order was delivered in clam shells where as the next customer that arrived after us got served on plates. Small disappointment that they don't serve summer rolls.

Great food at another little family-run shop. I love supporting businesses like this! We had the tofu pho, beef pho, spring rolls, and lemon chicken rice plate, and I've tapioca. Spring rolls and pho were excellent and packed well for takeout - separate container for broth, etc. The chicken was really good - but not for you if you don't like patis/fish sauce; at least this batch it was strong (and delicious). Looking forward to our next visit!

Decided to try this place out because the pho dip looked good. The lemongrass chicken sandwich had a good flavor and I enjoyed that they gave a good amount of the daikon and carrot pickles and chinese parsley on the top. I was excited to try the pho dip. It definitely made the bread softer, but I didn't enjoy the taste of the pho dip. It tasted like pho, but the flavor was a little off - as if too much of an ingredient was added. The spring rolls were good - nice and crispy and enough garnishes to make a complete lettuce wrap. Overall, I will return for the sandwiches and spring rolls, but probably won't get the pho dip again.

I first tried Bun Mi during a Yelp event last year and thought they were great. It's just that, living in Kailua, I don't get out to Kaneohe too much, but today I needed to pick up some shorts that I was getting fixed next door (at Designer Alterations), so decided to pop over and grab some lunch. I decided on the lemon grass chicken sandwich (my go to) and it took about 10 minutes, so I went next door to pick up my shorts. By the time I got back, my sandwich was ready. It's a traditional sandwich with all the normal toppings and a heap of cilantro, which I love. The chicken is very flavorful, and the garnishes of cucumber, pickled carrots, daikon, and the cilantro really enhance the sweet and salty goodness of the chicken. I was thinking about ordering the spring rolls, too, but it would've been too much. I like them crispy, and with ten pieces in an order, I wouldn't be able to eat them all, and they'd get stale. It's a great little place for a great little lunch (or dinner), and I know I'll be coming by again when I'm in Kaneohe.
